I would like to point out that this is not completely true. The Galaxy S2 released in Canada (at least to Bell for instance) has Samsungs Exynos Processor, some other US versions don’t run that chipset. I assure you, in your wildest dreams does the A5 beat the Exynos.

Man you had a real meltdown there. You gonna be ok? I find your arguments weak, inflamatory and mostly uninformed. It does not appear you have played with Android much. I can tell you I have owned all the iphones save for the 4S. I truly enjoy all the useability and features of Android that you need to jailbreak your iOS phones to enjoy. It’s a simple argument but a true one. Further to that, Neither OS is perfect, Android can at times be rough around the edges. But sometimes it’s nice to be told what you can do (Android) vs what you can’t do (iOS). What I mean by that is after you get past basic functionality (and they are on pretty level ground) there are things that would just make your life easier, Android lends itself better to those who want more.

Now argue these points all you want, but each are true. I should also mention that in some regards, Android does certain things better than iOS for the tasks I typically use it for. In canda, voice control would be one of them.

uhhh….guys…your all thinking too hard about this (Apple fans, this can be a dangerous thing for you).

It was a great commercial, I was entertained. Be it that makes me a picker of low hanging fruit, a single digit IQ wonder or a simpleton makes no matter.

How people can freak out about how this was a let down says to me you should spend more time playing with your devices and less time critiquing commercials…..

As much as I hate Gizmodo, I really wish this site would adopt a similar commenting style. The garbage that is the comments on this article is embarrasing at best. Giz may post complete sensationalist trash with talentless “journalists” at the helm, but at least the people on there respect the commenting for fear of being banned if nothing else.

Great…. people going from Apple fanboys to Samsung fanboys.
The stylus is the only thing different in Samsung’s phone, so not surprising that people will focus on that.
I’m not saying that Samsung doesn’t make good phones, but they are essentially a copy of the iPhone. If you are going to buy a copy (which is fine), then why not buy a better one? Like the LG X3, it has a lot better specs.

The obsessive loyalty is disturbing. Almost street gang like mentality. From someone who has used BOTH, including PC/Mac, the fact is, these gadgets are just simply tools. There’s things I liked and now miss with the iPhone 4 and and there’s advantages I now enjoy with my Nexus. For now, there’s no 4G LTE iPhone and I’m beginning to use my phone now for fun so the larger Samsung is my choice. Same thing with iPad. I love using it but it has serious limitations when I use it for work, which means I’d be very interested with the upcoming Dell tablet aimed at business users. Are any of you getting paid by Apple or the Android crew to spill such hostility against the other? These machines serve ME. I do NOT worship damn pieces of electronics.

Yup LTE does suck up batteries. But you know what, when I needed to download that 40meg file like I did this afternoon, was plenty glad that 4G was there to pull that file for me in a heart beat. It did the download in under 2 minutes. Had I been on 3G that would be have been over 30 minutes of downloading. 30 minutes of 3G downloading I think would chew up the juice harder than 2 minutes on 4G.

WHY did they ONLY settle on a 5″ screen? Why not have a 7″ screen since the thing is not going to fit in a pocket, plus a STYLUS…are you serious!

I was with 10 people watching the game and NOBODY could figure out what the ad was for, and PLEASE, 95%+ of the people who bought an iPhone (after version 2) bought it or reserved one online! Are there still people who are JEALOUS that people will wait in line for Apple products and not any of the Samsung/Google/HTC phone of the month stuff?

The TRUE measure of this or any Android phone is how much is it worth 1 year later? 3 year old iPhone3GS are still outselling many NEW Android phones, and almost 2 year old used iPhone4′s are still selling for $300 & $400 on eBay!

My guess is by NEXT years Super Bowl, these phone will be selling for less than $100 on eBay and will be used as gaming devices or be bought by people who cried when their PALM PILOT died!

Dude I got a Droid RAZR (where the F*ck is my ICS moto and while your at it I want my money back for not telling me there is a smaller version!!!!) money grabbin fools. I also have an iPad 2. From what I can tell it’s user based when it comes to OS crashing. I see people reporting in the Apple store their Facebook app crashes… wtf? that is considered a crash? It’s called you’re dumb and hope to god you don’t touch a Droid. Never had a droid crash nor an iOS crash cause I know how to handle such devices. But crap man ICS is already out. Why do I got to wait man? I’m surprised they don’t make us peeps pay for these software updates. Imagine all the cash flow coming in.

Their after-product support is abysmal, even worse than Samsung’s. I’m on the G2x and my God, the only reason it’s usable is the modding community. Do NOT go with an LG smartphone, ESPECIALLY if it’s running an Nvidia CPU. Nvidia locks up their voltage managing software so the modding community can’t tweak with it to improve it.

If not Samsung, HTC, I would vouch for. I like their phones quite simply–except I don’t like Sense that much. Motorola’s recent Razr phones are pure kickass. It’s a shame they’re underrated.

I wish someone could explain why android cursor is so retarded. Tap here, cursor goes there, for a second, then jumps elsewhere. It’s annoying because it knows exactly where I want to be.. but never ends up there.
