That's what Android fanboys have to say when they have nothing to add except how great Android is to hack.

You have an Android means you're probably a hacker and tinker your phone. Apple users want their device to work and work well with simplicity and effort.

Permissions? Great, we can see permissions but cant do anything about them. That's like having someone tell you they're going to mug you and you cant do anything about it.

don't think so. u go outside to the mall, downtown, etc. what do u see? u see apple iphone. whos' got an android? and what's with fragmentation of android? why do apps pop up randomly in android? if you kill them with your task killer, they just come right back alive and drain your battery. most apps dont allow you to even stop them from running in the background or during start-up. And what kind of OS allows AV software to scan for malware AFTER you download and install the app....after you've been infected? This is exactly why malware ie. viruses are rampant in the android universe and not iphone. Furthermore, why does my friend who is on a dfferent carrier with the same phone get an OS update, and I don't? Come on. Android is an inferior OS. But the hardware is better than the iPhone, I acknowledge that!

This is exactly why anyone who's had a Samsung smartphone has done is basically removed all Samsung software and installed cyanogenmod. Samsung's software is what is killing their hardware...that and the fragmentation of the Android OS (just to name a few).

Umm. excuse me?!! The The Galaxy S line back in 2010 was just another strong player in a sea of Android phones? that's one of the worst phones Samsung ever built. I have one, it's absolute garbage. The only phone worse is The Samsung Galaxy Spica. When the S I was first launched people said it would be better that the iPhone 4. Those people were grossly mistaken...unless you were a hacker and loved to butcher aka hack your phone and install custom ROMs and OS. That is a completely different world altogether. Comparing stock to stock hardware and software is what Android fanboys are failing to do just to promote Android.

Huh? No one said this was the Academy Awards. The Galaxy S2 isn't some actress who got an award for going full naked in a film. The MWC award FWIW might not measure up to that level, but it's still one of the biggest events. It at least affirms Samsung's success.

Not like I'm an Apple fan (I use a Galaxy Nexus currently, btw), but winning an MWC award is sorta like winning an air guitar competition. Doesn't really mean anything.

Well done, Samsung. The Galaxy S line back in 2010 was just another strong player in a sea of Android phones. The Super AMOLED display, the aesthetics, and the robust specs truly set it apart. The Galaxy S2 continued the trend with improvements in multiple areas and won multiple awards for being the king of smartphones.

2012 will be another year of robust competition among smartphones as HTC, Motorola, and even Huawei are expected to roll out new offerings. Windows phones may also end up stealing some of the limelight if WP licensees play the right cards.
