Chromebox could be huge for enterprise or education purposes. Think of all the PCs out there for businesses to run customer service desks, look up inventory, search catalogs, at checkout counters, terminals in libraries, etc., that don't need anything except a web browser. A Chromebox will serve that market well and comes as a zero maintenance, virus-proof solution.

Individual consumers are unlikely to be the main target of this product but rather larger mass purchase clients like schools (K-12 computer labs for example) and businesses that turns a benefit towards accumulative costs. Like system maintenance, updating, etc. that can really pile up for traditional OS systems.

While let's also not over emphasize the availability of similar price units. Remember Hard Drive prices are still high due to the shortages that won't fully clear up for a couple more months yet. So prices will tend to be a little higher than we'd expect for awhile yet and mind many nettops at this price range still tend to be bare bones or come without an OS.

At least pre-installed means you are more likely to get at least some support from Samsung, than installing Chrome yourself.

Though of course that's assuming you even want to use Chrome instead of another OS, but having more choice in the market is generally a good thing regardless.
