For a technical idiot it is just the specs that matter. But for a layman, it is the product’s problem-free nature, reliability, durability and customer care that matter. Just google “samsung galsxy s2 complaints” and see. One can go to Amazon customer’s reviews as well. I haven’t come across a smartphone whether Samsung, Motorola or HTC which is anywhere closer to iphone’s reliability and durability. Not having problems like software bugs, erased memory, poor battery life is much better than a notch down in terms of specs. My statement is true for not only smartphones, but laptops as well. Somebody who likes big screens can always go for a tablet. Smaller phones are really good to carry in jeans pocket.

I’m gonna stick with apple regardless. I am a fanboy of apple. But more so they have never let me down. And I really don’t want to give samsung who (let’s be honest) sole goal in phone making is to try to beat the iPhone, that originally changed the phone market as we know it. And i don’t want to give my money to google. Plus I will take a safe, secure, less buggy OS over a slower, buggy, not so fluid, OS any day. It’s like the difference between mac and pc. Mac is more fluid, more safe, faster. And PC is selling software but not hardware and it ends up being disastrous. Why can’t we all get along. Or admit that regardless of the phone, iOS really is more fluid, and more fun to use.

3.5 inch screen is useless. Retina display is good but i’m not reading books on a 3.5 inch screen nor am i viewing web pages fully zoomed out. Next to each other, SAMOLED is simply better.

Do you actually know what retina is?
Just pixel count, thus why apple not going for bigger screen as that will drop that count. As many here have said correctly when you see both phones side by side you will not see any difference.
Yes difference is there but its like my car can go 190 km your’s only 189.9.

Yeah yeah keep paying itunes buddy which pays apple, why pay I tunes just get a samsung, thats what apple is sceard , no I tunes there will be no apple, thats why their chasing samsung in court. But its ok the new i5 looks the same with and extra processor, wol “about damn time” maybee if apple wasnt soworried about samsung or android, they might of been able to create new hardware on their new i5 aka i4s. Moreover I products are the past. Who cares if ur have a goldplated iphone that shit is old techonolgy. my 08 nissan gtr has plastic bumber covers, so what you trying to say your iphone is is better then my gtr, its not even better than a plastic samsung mobile device

Sorry buddy, the galaxy s infuse, and galaxy s2, have the same super amoled plus screen, the only difference is single vs. dual processors which sgs2 has.and with att the infuse has a huge 4.5 inch screen vs. a 4.3 on sgs2, all said the 16,000,000 colors both phones have to render the sgs2 wins with the smaller screen, making better screen density. Wait till yall see the nexus prime, hd screen topped with the icescream sandwich. No other mobile device can top its specs. Restore rip steve jobs for pushing the mobile industry where it needs to go.will remenber ur always. and thanks to samsung for killing the mobile business I love ur products, keep them coming

1. Go to an ATT store and put the i4 (or 4S) next to a Galaxy SII or a Infuse – then tell me resolution matters.
2. Camera better? Lets see what it looks like from both. I will say the Infuse 8mp blows the 5mp i4 away. The 8mp on the 4S…. waiting
3. Voice Assist? Lets see what it can really do and what the limitations are. Have had it for quite a while on my Nexus and jb i4. It is more a matter of “where do I really want to use it” that is going to be the kicker.
4. Slimmer? Look again. 0.35 vs 0.37 – 4S is thicker
5. you pay $100 for 1st extra 16gb then $100 for the next 32gb… I can add class 10 32gb for less than $100 for as many as I want to buy. btw: the class 10 is faster.
6. Supports both CDMA and GSM – only one at a time and on one network – Verizon vs Sprint vs ATT… oops… looks like Apple forgot everyone else. Same functionality.
7. Take a look at the “metal vs. plastic”. I’ve replaced the front and back panel on my i4. The plastic is not bad looking at all and is very grippable unlike the i4.
8. Apps? how many can you use? Each has comparable one available – yes I am very sure having both OS in tablet and supporting a Android/iOS housegold.

Then lets add 9. 4G and LTE – iOS appears to be totally missing those

I can continue.
Just say you like the iPhone and go from there.
I like the i4,
The 4S is not the upgrade I want to commit my 2yr contract on.

The screen on the Infuse is NOT the same as on the SGS2. It’s the older SAMOLED, not SAMOLED+. SAMOLED+ is even less “fuzzy”, since it’s not Pentile Matrix.

My wife just got the Samsung Infuse – same screen as the Galaxy SII and it makes the screen on my i4 look weak (and small).
The colors on the Samsung screen are clearer, brighter and just pop.

You are wrong, there is a major difference in the image quality on the screens, pixel density determines how sharp an image is. On the iPhone 4s(and iPhone 4) the pixel density is higher then the human eye can see at a normal distance.

This guy doesn’t know what he is talking about if he thinks there is no difference between the too.

The only downfall of a screen with as high pixel density as the iPhone 4s is that it makes all other screens look like crap

Why do people think resolution is everything in the screen of a phone? It’s really useless for apple to have all those extra pixels when they’re on such a small screen. You will not see any difference vs the resolution of the Super AMOLED Display. There’s not a single bit of pixelation I see on my Galaxy vs my bro’s iPhone 4. The noticeable difference is the colors of the LED vs the Retina. The quality of the LED display is much better. If apple put a bigger screen on their phone, perhaps it would make a small difference.

Apple users still love samsung tv’s, isn’t that enough.

From what I see in the chart above: iphone has better resolution, better cam, better voice assist(by leaps and bounds, a revolutionary advancement) is slimmer. It’s also the only one available with 64gb high speed memory on board. Anyone whos ever had to pull a battery door to swap a mem card knows “unlimited” is hooey. It’s slightly heavier, but supports both cdma and gsm and is glass and metal vs. Plastic.

Samsung is ignoring iCloud functionality which essentially removes the iTunes requirement for syncing, apparently.

Of course, since neither the 4S nor iCloud are available TODAY, that may be fair.

And I use my iPhone and iPad as remotes for TiVo and Apple TV, which are connected to HDTVs everyday.

Gotta love stereo salesman….

True but this is a nice comparison saying that Apple’s “latest and greatest” is not that great and how their hardware will get outdated really fast. Of course Apple is now saying how it’s not about hardware but about experience, which is true. I only wonder why did they brag with hardware before when they were better in that area. :)
