what fake percentages are you referring to? What are you talking about? I am posting about how the design is very close whether anyone cares to admit it or not, excluding its viability in a court of law. I would suggest that you apply your cogency toward yourself. Am I truly the blind Apple supporter or are you the blind Apple hater? I think your statements point toward the latter. You are far too defensive and demeaning to give a “cogent” argument or a fair one.

Looks like you’re at it again making up fake court proceedings. The incident that you’re referring to did not happen in the Netherlands. It happened in the US. And the US judge said Apple’s patents are not likely valid.

What will also probably make you cry is the fact that the Netherland judge threw out every single design claim brought by Apple. The only patent that passed was an insignificant scrolling patent.

I also like how you follow up your statement “Apple didn’t patent the rectangle” with “They designed a look”. And there I thought you were going to present a cogent argument as to what Apple actually patented. LOL

If tablets existed before the iPad (and they did) why don’t they look anything like the ipad? Apple didn’t patent the rectangle. They designed a look and now they claim Samsung galaxy tabs look like it. In the Netherlands, Apple iPads and Samsung Galaxy tabs were held side by side and shown to Samsung’s defense team from 10-15 feet away. Samsung’s legal team admitted they couldn’t tell the difference.

I dont know about you, but i don’t use my tablet from 20 feet away. You could say the same thing about TV’s. Your comment makes no sense. Also, yes i could since Samsung uses the proper 16:9 aspect ratio unlike the fruit company.

If I held both of these tablets 20 feet from you and hid their logo. Would you be able to tell? Evidently the courts in Europe couldn’t (if you read some of the proceedings). Yes retangular objects are going to look like rectangular objects. However, everyone can tell a lenovo notebook from a macbook and that is the gist of Apple’s design argument right now.

Samsung did not create a knock off. They made a tablet. Sadly tablets are flat rectangular objects. In Apples eyes it’s a copy. To a sane person its a tablet. Just as all cars have 4 wheels and a windscreen, they are not ‘knock offs’ of each other, but are all cars.

Compared to most top tech firms, Apple has a paltry amount of patents they filed themselves. Many of Apple’s patents deal with non technical aspects and most of their portfolio is bought from the true innovators. Shows what a loser of a tech company Apple is.

Apple only has $10 Billion in cash in its reservers.

The majority of its “cash equivalents” long term securities, meaning they are not convertible to cash until their maturities are done.

Therefore, the so called $80 Billion in “cash” is actually incorrect.

I’ve had the 10.1 since day after launch. yesterday I went down to Game Stop to get a hands-on of the Asus Transformer Prime and to my surprise, I did not experience the benefit of the quad cores. the tablet was not fast and snappy as I expected but seemed a little sluggish to me.

I never evaluate a tablet in a store in its as is state. I factory restored it the removed all the widgets and extra icons leaving only 5 of them on the “home” screen.

Playing Shadow Gun and Riptide GP, I could clearly see the improvements of the Tegra 3 processor so from that standpoint, the Prime is worth having. I’m going to try to hold off on getting the Prime and wait for Samsung’s offering but I agree with what you said.

Maybe Samsung should take their creativity and innovation OUT of Apple’s iDevices, let Apple make their own sh!t. lets see how much you enjoy your iDevice without those ever-so-successful Samsung (and LG) components.

The 10.1 unfortunately is getting old and is going to come up against the like of the Trans Prime and the other Tegra 3 devices. While 90% of people do not know about the Prime yet they need to capitalise on the remaining period till they do. A really big boost would be to get ICS on the 10.1 ASAP. That and putting some decent demo software on the kit in the stores.
