Of course he does. And the Chair of Google uses a Blackberry. And the CEO of RIM uses iPhones. Of course they do and they should. Otherwise how can you know what the competition is all about.

I can’t help but compare this story to what is going on in the political landscape in the U.S. Sohn is like Pres. Obama; Apple is like the Republican party. Pres. Obama wants to reach accross the isle and admit he’s got something in common with the GOP. Apple like the GOP seems to only be interested in dominance and shows no interest in returning the gesture.

If he had said he uses Apple and other products regularly to see what they do better than Samsung and thus determine where to improve their own, I would say that is common sense. This is just a stupid admission. This is not good for his company in any way.

And before all the apple fans say that this is how they copy apple products, all manufacturers should use the opposition as well as their own products as benchmarks and beat that benchmark. Car manufacturers do it all the time and advertise it.

I personally think apple should have used IOS 5 as a benchmark for IOS 6. The newer version that I am using now is very slow and sticky

Who cares? Just because Apple is brought up in a conversation doesn’t make it news worthy. Why not keep it to when they make something innovative and then have a story. Yes, Apple is a great capitalist company but I could care less any time they fart and somebody feels the need to write about it.
