this TV is awesome, and for not boasting 1080, I don’t know how you could tell it isn’t. blue ray content is unbelievable, and YES, the 3D viewing is by selection only, – it will convert standard content into a format to view in 3d with the glasses. for the money (got the best buy pkg deal with 2 pair glasses, call of duty black ops, and $50 in movies for $849, very happy with this tv. makes it even sadder than my 19 year old son wasn’t wearing the @#$ strap on the wii mote and hit it tuesday and busted it. I am looking to buy a replacement right now online thru best buy!

Can I choose NOT to watch this TV in 3D?….and it will still look good…or is a 3d TV only good to watch with 3d Glasses.??

I just ordered one from Amazon for $850 and it comes with 2 pairs of glasses. Won’t be here ’till next week, but I saved $150 (free shipping) …
