How can iphone 4 owners justify upgrading to a iphone 4s which is not 4g?
That’s like getting a 8 cylinder ferrari (iphone) vs a 12 cyclinder ferrari (prime)

So you have a device encased in metal to feel heavy with garbage hardware inside that’s overpriced…….that’s the item you’re backing up here. Well sorry bro, can’t help you with that, I will take the device that’s plastic with great hardware any day of the garbage that apple makes.

Also, since they’re so well made, why don’t you drop an iphone and an android phone together and see which one you can still use………the answer (if you still don’t know) is none, as your glass screen will be shattered, or severely cracked.

So either way you take it that metal that you pay all that money for is useless……isn’t it? While the hardware android users pays for serves us much better.

Like Apple would wait around if someone important in Samsung had died…….Apple is a fucked up company that preys on morons. At least Samsung shows that they’re a better company and postponed their release knowing that they would lose money (or get their money at a later date) in response to Apple’s lost.

Also that release date was planned way before his death, unless you think Samsung has some sort of device that predicts the future and planned the release around that. That’s an answer to the retarded question you asked and a better answer than the only you came up with.

In my opinion Scott, its the same argument as “the higher megapixel count doesnt equate to a better camera” My Sprint GS2 screen bests the retina display in my opinion not cause of ”higher pixels” but the super amoled + tech is superior to the ips tech of the retina. just saying what i think

Form vs Function. I own an iPhone 4 and am thinking of buying the Nexus Prime if it lives up to it’s speculated hype. Sounds shallow but a big part of a phones success to me is how it looks and feels in hand. Plastic feel doesn’t exactly feel well built or classy. I wanna feel like I’m holding a machine. Not a kids “light as a feather” toy. Pls use some sort of metal Nexus.

They’re only holding off the announcement, not the actual release, by all accounts. Not nice to pound the final nail into the iPhone’s dominance (not that Apple actually needs dominance to be successful… they’re still making most of the money in the mobile market) so close after Jobs’ death. Anyway, that’s their rationale. And really, like iPhone and Apple or don’t, Steve Jobs was the guy who said consumers would buy smart phones, against all the collective wisdom of Palm, Microsoft, Nokia, and RIM. He made it necessary to produce something like the Nexus Prime and Android just to compete. We all benefit, and those who didn’t adapt (I’m looking at you, Nokia and RIM) are having a bad time of it all.

Wow, that was an ignorant comment. Their is room for a number of smartphone makers. I will probably get the Nexus Prime myself, but holding them each in a different hand, I bet the iPhone 4S feels like a million bucks and the Nexus Prime feels like a cheap piece of plastic. I hope I am wrong but if you hold an iPhone 4 and any other Android phone you will know what I am saying.

I am a curent iphone use myself, and I will likely go with the Nexus Prime as well. With that said, the iPhone 4S does a little more than catchup hardware specs. The iPhone 4 screen is still the best in the market, my problem is they didn’t increase the screen size in the iPhone 4S. The iPhone 4S also appears to have the best and fastest camera available. Again, if only they increased the screen size I would be in line for another iPhone.

Nexus Prime WILL be my next phone. Most apple fans are use to having the latest and best phone on the market with each release. We want and expect the best. The conference they had to release the 4S was a HUGE letdown to many. Granted yes, there are many improvements [internally] compared to the iphone4…but the 4S in my opinion pretty much brought th iPhone up to speed with these droid monsters. I’ve had ONLY iPhones since the 1st day of their original release. I’ve gotten every new one the day they hit stores/pre-orders. Ive defended apple in conversations on end that compare them to droid. Ive waited patiently and anxiously for apple to bring the iPhone5 out to shutup all apple haters and to continue dominating the market like they typically do with new releases. Needless to say I’m very disappointed about a 4S release and will not be buying it. I am now waiting for the Nexus Prime to hit ground. 3.5″ screen on a smartphone no matter how good it’s internals are is pitiful. Its not my only problem w the current iphone [in the 4the quarter of 2011] but seriously. No, 4real, seriously. It’s like man that has the stamina of a bull in bed…BUT has liiiitle…problem…

leaked shot with the screen specs? It was a black face.. and in the editted photos of the Nexus Prime, you can see that the top half is black, while the back is silver-ish. But we’ll have to see.

Looks like a winner, but the bad taste of the fascinate disaster is still in my mouth. Samsung nor Verizon stood up to the plate on that failure. Neither have ever publicly accepted responsibility or made restitution to the purchasers of the fascinate.

I have yet to drop the Nexus S (thankfully) so I don’t know if it’s durable or not, but I assume Samsung made it plastic so that in the case it was dropped, it wouldn’t shatter into pieces. I know the iPhones (as beautiful as they were) were prone to cracked cases because the aluminum bracket would be heavy and often bring the weight of the phone down during impact causing more damage than if it were to be made out of plastic. But purely from an aesthetic point of view, i still think the iPhone looked more durable and solid because of the aluminum.

In any case, we won’t know until early next week so I’m crossing my fingers so far. I also noticed that the shape and look of the phone in the Samsung teaser looked quite different from the supposed “leaked shot” of the Nexus Prime that people see floating around the internet. It makes me wonder if they are even the same phone…..maybe the leaked shot is a fake.

Have you dropped any one of the Galaxy Ses or the Nexus S? Although it may be plastic, it contributes to its “light as a feather” feel, which I like. And that plastic is quite durable. Dropped both the NS4G and my old Epic 4G on Concrete many times… you wouldnt even notice it.
