Samsung Intensity II lands at Verizon

Verizon Wireless has announced that it has landed a new and budget priced feature phone built around messaging from Samsung. The device is called the Intensity II and the handset is made partially from recycled plastic.

The handset will be offered in metallic blue and deep gray colors. It features a horizontal slide out keyboard with an external number pad on top. The screen of the device is a 2.2-inch unit with a 240 x 320 resolution. The device also has a 1.3MP infrared camera with night vision and more.

Other features of the device include an integrated music player, full messaging option suite, VZ Navigator, and social networking applications. Verizon says the device will be available in the "coming weeks" for $49.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate.
