It’s very frustrating to wait and wait. My friends using HTC wildfire also got 2.2 updates despite their purchases being older than mine. I bought Galaxy S about 7 months back and still no updates, no news only rumers and rumers. The ball is not in my court now to suggest Samsung phones to friends. Very disappointing.

I am using galaxy S and really bad experience.
It has been long time now, my friends are using nexus have 2.3 on their mobile and i am still on wait. It was supposed to be upgradeable phone, but where is the upgrade???
There is no happiness in being Samsung’s customer.
Samsung, take your time. You guys already killed all the expectation. I am sure, my next smartphone is not Samsung and will be selling this crap in my hand within few days…

Oh, I would advice against buying Samsung. They are very confused about their product offerings and don’t provide support on their earlier models. Their responses are extremely vague and don’t make any sense, whatsoever.
On questions regarding Froyo upgrade, I have always go the same response, “that they will provide an update when the OS is *ready*”. Which they have been saying since ages now.
Everyone who bought a Galaxy S last year is upset with Samsung for not providing updates to 2.2. I am sure they’ll do the same with their future offerings.
These “Confirmations” about upgrade to Gingerbread might be their strategy to get more customers.

Whatever Samsung. You just blowing smoke to get more buyers of your phone. Those buyers would probably think they are buying an upgradeable phone but their not. They should update all phones with Froyo before mentioning Gingerbread. Until they come good with their promise of updating all phones to Froyo, it makes them look stupid and a lier. They just want to stay in the news. Show me the money (Froyo) or be quiet Samsung.
