If you’ve been on the lookout for an affordable home theater system that still performs at above-average standards, you’re in luck. Samsung just announced a brand new 5.1 home theater system called the HT-AS730 and it packs in 650W of surround sound entertainment.

This sound system features 1080p video pass-through support, integrated iPod dock, FM tuner, a HDMI-CEc output, three HDMI-CEC inputs, three optical audio inputs, a coaxial input and more. It also supports several sound codecs including Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro-Logic-II, Dolby Digital EX, DTS, Dolby Pro-Logic IIx, DTS 96/24, DTS Neo 6, DTS ES and Discrete 6.1.

The system can be upgraded to 7.1 easily and it features the Samsung Auto Sound Calibration system, making set up a snap. Smart Volume makes unpleasant sound blasts a thing of the past. Plus, it has speaker cones made from Bio kelp, adding more credence to the system’s Energy Star compliance. You will be able to get the Samsung HT-AS730 this month for $499.99.
