Samsung Gravity 2 hits T-Mobile for $30

Samsung and T-Mobile USA have officially released the Gravity 2, their latest budget slider.  First announced last month along with the Samsung Comeback, the Gravity 2 has both a QWERTY keyboard and a numeric keypad, and will retail – initially at least – for $29.99 with a two-year agreement and following a $50 mail-in rebate (boo hiss!)

Two color versions are available, "metallic pumpkin" and "berry mauve" – dare we say orange and purple? – each with 1700/2100 HSPA/UMTS, A-GPS with TeleNav, a 2-megapixel camera and stereo Bluetooth support.  There's also a microSD card slot, support for POP and IMAP email, and various IM clients.

The whole thing measures 4.49 x 2.05 x 0.59 inches and tips the scales at 4.4oz.  We're not exactly blown away by the specifications, but the pricing is good and for messaging addicts with humble expectations it may just fit the bill.  Pick up the Gravity 2 in T-Mobile stores today.
