Yeah, that is kinda sad, Apple clearly cant handle the competition and instead decides to eliminate it, I think that Samsung is the best competitor to Apple when it comes to tablets.

They should just submit new products directly to apple for approval

Samsung have already shown several devices with specifications better than iPod2, but they always get blocked in the courts by FA of Cupertino. Perhaps that is the problem and this is a “what Apple will allow” solution. Sad!
