This is baloney. US jury ruled that the Galaxy Tab doesn’t infringe. Apple is stuffed on the US version of this injunction.

I paid $22.85 for an iPhone 4-32GB and my girlfriend loves her Panasonic Lumix GF 1 Camera that we got for $38.76 there arriving tomorrow by UPS. I will never pay such expensive retail prices in stores again. Especially when I also sold a 40 inch LED TV to my boss for $674 which only cost me $62.81 to buy. The patent war is against Google Android in every form – Android tablets or Android smartphones. Android smartphones have around 50% market share and is that a decision against all the Android smartphones too? Is that mean that better products like Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1/8.9, Samsung Galaxy S2, all the HTC smartphones, etc should be blocked too? Seems just pretty stupid idea all the world to follow the jurisdiction of the local American Court…

Don’t think its the box. I have seen the box and it dosen’t look like an iPad2 box at all.

Where did Samsung copied apple? Making a thin and light tablet? Making a better tablet?To tell you the truth, I see no copying. What I see is that Samsung took ideas from the iPad2 and made it better.

The only thing I see them copying (maybe?) is the proprietary port, but does apple have that patent in the first place and have they even sued samsung because of that? last I checked there were no lawsuits dealing with that.

But I won’t be to worried with these, they will be tossed out. You just have an (idiot) judge ruling in favor for Apple. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 copied of the iPad? if copying a problem, why didn’t Apple go after HP with their TouchPad? That looks like an iPad. More than the Tab.

Bloody Apple. Preventing people from getting a Galaxy tab is not going to make them want an IPad instead. Really it isn’t. Surprised the German Court are allowing this anti-competitive behaviour to persist as the EU has laws against abuse of dominant position etc. Yes of course they look the same – they’re both tablets. A Samsung TV looks similar to a Panasonic TV and an LG TV etc. Perhaps we should just be thankful that Apple don’t make televisions or they wouldn’t let anyone else make those either!!

And here I thought I was the only one. Is is a case of the copied the box it came in? I for the life of me can’t see the similarities between the two other than they are both flat tablets…. seriously now can someone that’s fair and honest please let us know where did Samsung copy Apple.

This is bullshit, Software patents are not valid in Europe so, I really dont think they have done a halt for the device.

I just don’t see the similarities. I was looking at them side by side in a local computer store (well, in a salespersons hands, as they wouldn’t let me carry the “untethered” device to the one I was comparing it to), and other than the slimness, I just don’t see them as being a copy. iPad2 has a sloped underside, and the Galaxy Tab 10.1 doesn’t. As far as the screen bezel, that can’t be avoided on any device, and shouldn’t be patent-able (?). I didn’t see the packaging to compare. I do agree that the proprietary port appears awfully similar; but isn’t that the only way to go on a device this slim? Did Apple create that type of port connection, or just take advantage of it? I don’t know the answer to that. I’m all for protecting IP, but it’s getting ridiculous. ”oh you can’t wave “hello”, I have a patent on that gesture! Ridiculous.
