Samsung Galaxy S7 video shows detailed simplicity

The Samsung Galaxy S7 is said to appear in a video made with specifications of a machine that won't be released for several weeks at least. This device being shown is a rendering – not a real release-ready device, but a 3D model made with details taken from what the designer implies are case-maker models. This would mean that the exact look may be different, but the basics would be all here, ready to show themselves to you in from all angles with ease.

The renderings, the folks at uSwitch suggest, were made from "detailed blueprints" they'd obtained from an accessory manufacturer. These sorts of blueprints are given to manufacturers early so that they might create cases for the smartphone ahead of launch.

According to these often-times correct but not always perfect blueprints, we're to see a Samsung Galaxy S7 that looks very similar to its predecessor. Sort of like a hybrid between the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 5.

Along the back you'll see some curved edges. This was the same on the Galaxy Note 5, making the device seem thinner to the average hand than it actually is, giving the impression that the edges are the bits that show the true nature of the full machine.

As you can guess, the front and back are made of glass, while the backside's camera bulge appears to be minimized. That, or the body of the device's ever-so-slightly-larger bulk swallows the excess in the camera array. We shall see.
