BOTH –> Cheap plastic disposable feeling phones crammed full of the newest chips and other components combined with horrible crash-prone malware infested software sold at the same or higher prices than the BEST AND MOST SUPERIOR PHONE ON THE MARKET (iPhone) is the way to go…!

SGS3 is not even out yet of course it will out spec any phones.Pointless to compare these two.. SGS3 with rumored 2ghz quad exynos at a mere 5mm thick, 4.7″ Super HD Amoled, ceramic unibody case, and do you know how light this thing is?GG

This is a complete no-brainer for me. I like the build and quality of HTC. While Samsung features spectacular hardware, the design and cheap feel leaves a lot to be desired. That said, a Samsung still feels much better in the hand than an iPhone, not to mention it completely blows the iPhone away in every aspect.

The One series phones are nice and i’m sure the GSIII will be a great phone as well but i’ll still wait to see who gets to make the next Nexus and what that phone will be like. Vanilla Andriod FTW !

very true, i oversimplified my comparison and chose a polarizing example….it’s all personal taste. For me, the thought that a VZW Note is possibly coming soon makes anything sub 5″ screen less than desirable even if it has a Tegra 3 CPU. Honestly, I am thinking Windows 8 Mobile on a S4 Krait or Intel Medfield powered “Note sized” device later this year would be my perfect device.

Not everyone wants something the size of the Samsung Note. That doesn’t mean it’s a bad device, but they’re necessarily limiting their market to people who want a large phone. That having been said, regarding having more power, the One X has a Tegra 3 processor, which is what….5x more powerful than the Tegra2 in the Samsung Note?

seems to be a stall in handset progress as none of these “new phones” including the HTC One series seem to really offer anything much greater than the first generation 4GLTE Samsung handsets such as my Charge….slightly larger screen, small improvements, ICS…sure, but by now I was really expecting competitors in the size of the Samsung Note with more power

Chris Burns: Samsung is rumored to have used a ceramic body not a porcelain. The two are commonly confused. While similar they are different. Ceramic is mainly made of clay while porcelain is from sand. Ceramic is much easier to work with than porcelain.

Well, the S2 was released in June, 2011. The S3 won’t be released until probably the same time. Much like Apple’s yearly phone releases as well… not to mention most phone production companies. So I’m not sure what your point is when concerning flagship devices.

Or you meant they give consumers a lot of options, I guess that’s a bad thing right?
