If I was in the market for a new high-end smartphone – which I’m not, I’ll stick to my Galaxy Nexus because I simply love it – then I’d get the Galaxy S III as soon as it was actually available.
I played with the One X last week and it is definitely a very sleek device with a great screen and good tactile experience. But lack of support for both SD storage and no user replacable battery just makes it that much less attractive. The camera may be better but I don’t care about that personally. Just the same, I’ve never bought my smartphones for their looks and just like my old Galaxy S the new one is not quite a stunner but definitely good enough looking.The SIII is going to be a great device and most people are just disappointed because the last couple weeks of hype raised expectations to an almost improssible level. Kind of a pity, I think Samsung did well for what it’s worth.

Samsung Galaxy S3 has pushed into phablet territory here. They should have just made this with a 5″ screen, added a stylus to the package and made it official. The good new is that you now have two phablet choices.The bad news is that leaves the HTC One X as the only option if you want a big screen cell phone with a high def (720) display. Until the Optimus LTE2 gets here that is.

Been looking at the picture of this phone for a while now and something was bugging me about the shape. I just realised that the corners are different at the bottom compared to the top. It just looks wrong, old fashioned even. It looks like is was drawn by a ten year old. Didn’t they even ask a few people first if it was pleasing to the eye.

software is more important than design to me, if they can tweak the phone well for a good battery life, it’s a winner

They can actually do that anytime they want, their business model is impeccable and the iphone is quite well differentiated from the android flagships at this point… I own a HTC One X, never had an iphone, but I’m not ashamed to admit apple is still running the show.

Samsung. How dare you. What an insult. I love your phones but this is shit. Plastic still and not amoled+. Who do you think you are, Apple. This is just a lame up grade. No 12 mega pixel camera. To think I woke up to this. It looks crap too. I’ll stick to my galaxy note for the time being and if Apple can give me a bigger screen, I might just swap sides. You had a chance to give us mahogany but you give us pine. You will definitely lose sales over this one. Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I am one of those who was waiting to see what Samsung had to offer before deciding between one x or gs3. its nothing wrong. The one x is still on pre order. Its not like its gonna sell out. I can still go to the store this Sunday and pick one up. Worth the extra day of waiting.
