MAJOR FLAW! Don’t get too excited… I purchased the Samsung Galaxy SII and returned it.

Why? It is a great phone,
but the video does not allow you to plug in an external microphone. The
voice recorder allows for an external mic, but video recording uses
internal mic by default (unlike iPhone). So I guess maybe I will get an
iphone.

Mine does the better audio and is available for public release already… http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1104051 . In testing I found the increased bitrate didnt drastically increase video quality, but did double the filesize, so I only changed the audio bitrate and sample rate for public release. Enjoy.
