I think its brilliant . device not meant to put in your pocket obviously . screen large enough to download your music directly from internet . saves the trouble of transferring music to your player. most of the new mobile phones do a good job in playing music . so don’t really need a stand alone portable mp3 player .

The 5.0 inch one is pushing it. If I was going to put it in my backpack, I would get a 7 or 10 inch tablet. This size is just stupid.

Yes it is too big to put in your pocket. But this plays videos too !. Bigger screens are better foor that. Some people carry stuff in back packs. There are niche markets. Plus you would not want to invite another Apple lawsuit by designing something around 3.5 inches would you? There are already lots of products in the crowded market segment. They dared to be different and are targeting different segments. Are they thinking “out of the box”? Maybe. Did you guys ever think to that? Or are there no more people with any brains any more than just stating the obvious?

Obviously the above remark was to create arguments based upon Apple and Samsungs legal disputes. The real topic here is Samsungs
media player. I feel its too big for a mp3 player, and will use the same plastic aesthetics the S3 uses which, will make gripping the device a problem. However, if the device is not too expensive, your getting a scoop of ice cream sandwich with top of the line hardware and software.

What kind of a stupid remark is this i was using portable mp3 and media players that had capabilities well before any portable apple player had equivalent features. Cowon, Archos spring to mind. Apple may be fantastic at marketing and patenting but dont confuse that with actual innovation.
