Gah! I want a 7.7 tab/phone so bad.

I'll never understand why you guys try to demonstrate holding them up to the ear. With a larger device, that's not how one ends up speaking on the phone.

Naturally, there's the bluetooth option... the most logical.

Then we have the headset option. The second most logical.

If you simply MUST hold the device to speak on it, you turn on speakerphone, and hold the phone as if you were holding a microphone... Dead center, mic up toward your mouth. Heck... even if you just have a pair of regular headphones, you listen with those, and you still hold the phone as if you were using a microphone. Once I got used to that method with a large device, I find myself doing it with my regular cell phone. It looks a lot less ridiculous than the ear posture, avoids the whole question of whether or not the transmitter an inch from your brain is causing cancer, and it is an easier posture to sustain for long periods of speaking.

I was quite bummed to hear the news that these two devices aren't planned for US release. I suppose it's not surprising, giving the fact that US carriers seem to intentionally sabotage excellent devices (whether by the payment plan, or by disabling hardware)
