I have been a Verizon Wireless customer for 6 years now. And for the first time, I am shopping in AT&T wireless to go with them just because they have the Galaxy Note.

Be it to your dismay, you don’t represent a seasoned writer since your posts are riddled with elementary mistakes. May I guess why? Because it was faster. Many people use acronyms to save time – of course, you only preserve a few seconds, but these few seconds are, in your perspective, valuable enough to sacrifice what you consider “literacy”.
Choose “lmao” or “hahahahahahahahaha”, “wazzap” or “how have you been doing”, “brb” or “I’ll be right back”, etc. Get my point? Though the idea of saving time with abbreviation/acronym seems too elusive and complex for you to understand, it’s an idea many of us bear in mind while texting others. I’m terribly sorry if that pinches a nerve or two.

Also, please provide evidence of people COPIOUSLY using “wazzap” and “baby muvva” on “important” documents – please note that you used the plural form, so I’m asking for multiple documents, not just one in a murky corner of the internet. Forgive me for my skepticism, since I’m fairly certain you fabricated that to create some support for a paltry argument.
Well, I may be the one guilty of misunderstanding. I’m assuming you’re aware of the various grammatical mistakes in your posts. If you aren’t, I’ve overestimated you, and you’re just an imbecile who can’t let go of his arrogant nationalism.

I still can not believe why Verizon allowed such obvious hit cell phone to go out of its hands; the least they could do was to convince Samsung that they should produce it for all carriers and not just AT&T. Unfortunately, Verizon is concentrating on selling more iPhone for some time now, and let good phones such as Samsung Galaxy Note to be of AT&T. Maybe Verizon figures that good customer service and coverage will compensate for not having the top phone. Oh BTW, I see Galaxy Nexus for $99 with new account; that tells me that phone was not really the top notch they wanted us to perceive.

Leave out the stylus, and use the space the stylus compartment occupies to – instead – include a bigger battery, and I’m all over this thing…

…provided it fits comfortably in my pocket, and actually gets ICS like Samsung has said it will.

This phone is a blessing. It’s a pain to write characters on an iPhone, and international keyboards are limited by manufacturers. This device was made to bypass that problem and allow people to write more easily.

This will be my next phone… no question. Now my question is whether to jump ship to ATT in order to get it soon, or wait longer for Verizon to get it. If ATT announces a release date, and verizon plays coy, I may just jump ship. Hope they manage to not release it 6 months after ATT, otherwise I’m gone for sure.

Wow! I have the Evo View and Im thinking of grabbing the Note.

I love my View but it’d be great to have the same capability with my phone.

Wish they made big tabbys with good pen input… the Jetstream is ridiculously priced.

Oh I know. I was just commenting on the general state of literacy here more than trying to make a statistical observation. I know most of us here don’t fall within the illiterate camp, this is a blog of course. Perhaps I should look at this device as a beacon of hope that will get people to write more, read more, etc.

Not everyone writes like youtube posters. Just so you know. I don’t think you’re looking at the right segment of the market. This device isn’t all about “writing” essays. Try reading the other comments by actual owners instead of relying too much on your own speculation.

I love sketching, doodling, and taking notes. Hell, my shopping notes on my Flyer tend to have as many cartoons as grocery items! The Note is the perfect gadget for me–thanks to Samsung for ignoring Steve Jobs’ dismissal of the stylus.

I’ve had a galaxy note for a couple months now and love it. I don’t have to carry around a scrap of paper and a pen at work any more since I can just jot a quick note down more easily than tapping it out with my thumbs.

What I didn’t expect though was that I’ve stopped picking up my 7″ HTC Flyer for browsing while on the couch/bed since it’s just more comfortable with the lighter note (even though it’s smaller). The note has 1280×800 resolution and has a crazy fast processor. At this size and resolution it is so much nicer viewing web content than on my previous HTC Thunderbolt (4.3″). Yet it’s so much lighter and thinner than any tablet it can easily be held one handed without getting tired. And yes, with some practice you can use it one-handed most of the time (And no, I don’t have large hands.)

I read what people try to write all day long and it is abysmal. UR, wazzap, lmao, “baby muvva” to list a few things I see all of the time, on important documents. And these people are serious. In places where writing is essential, this phone is a blessing. It’s a pain to write characters on an iPhone, and international keyboards are limited by manufacturers. This device was made to bypass that problem and allow people to write more easily. It’s great for Asian, Middle Eastern, etc., but here in the States where people abbreviate and misspell everything, it isn’t the easiest or best way for many people to go.
