Samsung Galaxy Note hits UK November tips retailer

The Samsung Galaxy Note will land in the UK in November, one retailer has revealed, with stock of the 5.3-inch Android smartphone/tablet hybrid expected late in the month. Likely to be priced at around £500 plus tax ($783), according to Clove, the dual-core device was one of the stand-out handsets of IFA earlier this month, offering both touch and stylus input.

That's not cheap, but you're getting a fair amount of kit for your money. The Galaxy Note has much of what we love from the Galaxy S II, including an 8-megapixel camera with Full HD video recording, speedy processor and waifish construction, along with some impressive tablet functionality too. The included digital stylus – which slots into a silo in the Galaxy Note itself, unlike the digital pen HTC bundles with the Flyer – allows for surprisingly accurate handwriting (with machine recognition supported) as well as screenshot annotation.

We're guessing carriers will be offering the Galaxy Note with various subsidies for those willing to sign up to a new agreement, though exact deals are unlikely to go public until closer to availability. Until then, check out our full hands-on report from Berlin earlier in the month.
