leaves the end-user out of the picture. I am a scientist and I have the
newest I-pad. For me this I-pad is just an larger I-pod touch, basically
an entertainment center with limited use for business/work. I need a
pad/tablet that is light, I want to take notes, store them,, do handwriting
recognition, type documents, can manage citations of publications, read
publications/books, run excel and make graphs create a power point ,
give lectures, record lectures… I had for years an old clunky heavy
tablet PC that could do all this and it was and was a useful tool– just
it is way to heavy. SO I hope with Windows 8 and a lighter tablet I
will be able to do this. AS I said it depends on the end-user. Any
serious businessman even accountant will give preference to a machine
that can run a program like excel than any current I-pad/android. These
are nice for home/vacation but after all just (although serious)
entertainment -toys for TV/video/music , games and social
communications.

WOW your really behind the time.windows is a dying horse on the way out.They lost the phone market.Ol they make $5.00 per ANDROID phone for patient.They had the phone market but there ego got in the way.Apple they will always be here to support the clueless apple drones.Apple drones line up to buy the same phone again and again with little to no improvement.But they are happy to be dumb.Android has taking over the smart phone and tablet market.Soon they will take over the laptop market.Windows will be a business os .
