Samsung Galaxy Lite i5700 delayed; color scheme toned down

Good news and bad, today, for those hoping for Samsung's i5700 aka the Galaxy Lite.  According to dial-a-phone, the i7500's little sibling has been pushed back into 2010, rather than launching later on in 2009 as originally planned, so as to give its bigger sibling more chance to rack up sales.

The i5700 has a 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen, 3.2-megapixel camera, GPS, HSDPA, WiFi and Bluetooth, together with Samsung's TouchWiz UI on top of Android OS 1.5.  Onboard storage is just 200MB, with a microSD slot for up to 32GB cards, and there's a 3.5mm headphones jack and accelerometer.

Still, to make up for the disappointment there are a few shots to show the latest design of the Galaxy Lite, and as you can see the vivid – but, we felt, fun – lime green back cover has been replaced with some more sober versions.  The handset will be available in white with green highlights and black with orange highlights.
