Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 rocks 5.25-inch screen and 1.2 GHz processor

Samsung has rolled out a new smartphone that is a follow up to the original Galaxy Grand. The new smartphone is called the Galaxy Grand 2 and improves on the specs of the original device. The new Galaxy Grand 2 will only be available in select markets putting decent specs into a mid-range package.

The smartphone has a screen measuring 5.25-inches with a native resolution of 1280 x 720. The screen is only about 1/4-inch larger than the original Galaxy Grand. The smartphone uses a 1.2GHz quad-core processor inside.

The processor is mated to 1.5GB of RAM and the smartphones has 8GB of integrated storage. The device does have a microSD card slot for storage expansion. The memory card slot can handle cards up to 64GB. The rear camera is an 8-megapixel unit.

The front camera is a 1.9-megapixel unit. Other features of the smartphone include WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS+ Glonass support, and support for dual SIM cards. It's unclear if the smartphone will support 4G LTE connectivity at this time. The operating system is Android 4.3 and the Grand 2 will support the Samsung feature called Multi Window. The camera will also have a number of Samsung features including Best Face and more. Availability and pricing are unannounced.
