Samsung Galaxy Ace Style aims at the low-end market

Samsung rolled out its budget smartphone called the Galaxy Ace Style in Germany originally and that device hadn't been seen outside that country. The smartphone is now ready to roll out to other countries and is aiming right at the shopper on a budget. The Ace Style runs Android 4.4 KitKat for the operating system and since it is a budget offering, the specifications are modest.

Samsung fits the smartphone with a 4-inch WVGA resolution screen with a native resolution of 800 x 400. The processor under the hood is a 1.2 GHz dual-core of unspecified brand. Samsung pairs that processor with a scant 512MB of RAM.

Internal storage for the smartphone is 4GB, but you can expand that storage with a memory card up to 64GB. Other hardware features include WiFi, Bluetooth, and NFC connectivity. Samsung cut LTE support from the features list to meet the budget price. Power comes from a small 1500mAh battery.

Considering the modest specs of the phone, that battery may last longer than it seems it would. It's nice to see the latest version of Android running on a budget device. Samsung will ship the smartphone in white or gray colors at an undisclosed price.
