About the only use i can see for this would be for a tablet like device thats in the shape of a flash light handle. A partition that pulls out with a retractable upper and lower arm holding a scrolled and very thin screen inbetween. It’s ment to be used in landscape mode. I’ve seen a device like that in sci-fi shows, it’s super portable, certainly much easier to carry around than the current tablet/pad designs. In any case this is some cool innovative tech, go Samsung!

But is that viable right now? I don’t see any use of something using this current technology. If a battery could have any kind of useful capacity and the rest of the internals as well, then we’ll talk, but right now i don’t see any useful application for this tech.

When the display is thin and flexible enough to be rolled up, you can have a scroll design with the display wrapped around a cylindrical core of processors and battery. Unroll the display to the size you desire.

I fail to see how, at this point, this can be used for anything useful without have a big solid chunk attached to hold the battery and other stuff. Can someone give me an example of a device this would be useful on?
