Seriously, the individual data plan for sprint (assuming it’s a sprint exclusive phone) is like ~ $70 for the unlimited data plan +$20 for priemium data (standard for android phones) and here is the kicker: +30 for wifi teathering (which on a technical level is very basic).

In all you spend almost (if not more) of the cost of the phone on the monthly plan…

You still pay thousands of dollars over the life of your plan, and still paying $200 up front. If you really have to go with a phone that is “cheaper” by that small of an amount, you clearly have budget/money problems, and do NOT need a 4G smartphone, you need to take a look at your finances very carefully.
