In the video, we see a curved piece of hardware that looks like it could be a tablet. There’s something attached to the bottom of it, however, that looks suspiciously like a smartphone. Samsung could be suggesting that what’s coming is a combination of two things–the smartphone and tablet operating system–which would be Ice Cream Sandwich.
I’ve seen some talk that interprets the video more literally, meaning that Samsung is announcing a pair of devices, a smartphone that attaches to or connects with a tablet. Is this possible? Sure. It’s possible Samsung is announcing both a new smartphone and tablet, with Ice Cream Sandwich……

So if it’s not a phone/tablet, then what’s the “combination” the video is talking about, and wouldn’t that explain the 3 holes on the side? Granted, it could be like the Atrix, but why would we need another phone/laptop combo?

Being a Nexus S user now, I personally love the curved screen. It amazingly makes glare much more easy to deal with, and also conforms to your face much nicer than a flat brick.

It’s a phone with a bigger screen add-on on top that converts it to a tablet. How do they achieve that I don’t know but I’m sure it’s possible. It would be cool if you could magnify any phone’s screen with a semi-flexible thin screen when you want to surf the web or watch a video. Interesting, I think.

You are exactly right. The “combination” is of honeycomb on a phone. There will be no tablet. Hellooo samsung would not want to kill their sales of their own tablets

I agree, as nice as that would be to see, it is a pretty ridiculous thought. The line across the top is clearly just a marketing tactic to highlight the curved screen. I seriously doubt we will see a dumb tablet accessory.
