Samsung 8 & 10-inch Digital Photo Frames with optional WiFi

A clutch of new digital photo frames from Samsung today, and the company gets partial-kudos for giving at least some of them WiFi.  Two 8-inch 800 x 600 frames, the SPF-85H and SPF-85V, and two 10-inch 1024 x 600 frames, the SPF-105P and SPF-105V, are available, although the 'V' versions have WiFi b/g.  Each can load images from their SD/MMC/MS/XD card reader or via the USB memory slot.

The two non-wireless frames have 1GB of onboard storage for keeping regularly-displayed images, while the WiFi-enabled frames have a mere 64MB.  That shouldn't matter too much, though, as they have access to Windows Live Spaces, the online photo gallery, as well as Samsung's InfoLink with RSS feeds from USA Today and others.  They also get a subscription to Samsung's Frame Channel, consisting of over 400 channels of news, sports, cartoons and more.

Control is via the touch-sensitive buttons that light up as part of the screen bezel, and using UbiSync you can set the frames to act as a secondary display for your computer.  The SPF-85H and the WiFi-enabled SPF-85V will be available on September 1st, priced at $129.99 and $199.99 respectively.  Meanwhile the SPF-105P will be available for $199.99 on October 1st and the WiFi-enabled SPF-105V for $289.99 on November 1st.
