Samsung’s entrance to the netbook market has appeared, together with some predictable specs.  The unnamed ultraportable is at the top end of netbooks in terms of size, with a 10.2-inch 1024 x 600 display, but like 99-percent of rivals is based on Intel’s 1.6GHz Atom N270 processor.

Storage options include an 80GB, 120GB or 160GB hard-drive, while RAM is given as 1GB.  Connectivity is wired ethernet, WiFi and Bluetooth, there’s the usual 1.3-megapixel camera in the screen bezel, trio of USB ports and a 3-in-1 memory card reader.

Weight is listed as 2.9lbs, and the battery is a 6-cell unit with a predicted five hour runtime.  Color options will be white, blue and black.  The only price suggestion we have so far is $550 for its October release in Korea, but Samsung UK are also looking to have it available in that region at the end of October.
