Worth Reading?

NoYes

RunCore just announced their latest solid-state drive and though it’s certainly fast, the price tag might be just a bit too high for what you get. The Pro IV SSD is the device’s name and it’ll be interesting to see just what has jacked up the price.

These 2.5-inch drives pack a punch. They can read at up to 240Mbps and write at up to 185Mbps. That’s pretty impressive! However, the cost is very high and in this economy, it’s hard to say who would be willing to shell out substantial $149 for a 32GB drive, a hefty $249 for a 64GB drive, a considerable $449 for a 128GB drive and an earth-shattering $889 for a 256GB drive.

For a laptop consumer, this is a bit excessive. Sure, these drives are super fast. There’s no question about it. But the storage space is only so-so. I mean is 256 gigs really worth a nine hundred bucks? Should you decide the Pro IV SSD from RunCore is right for you, there is a USB enclosure on each drive. Check out the demo video below.
