Rumor - Xbox 360 is failing in Australia

The Xbox 360 is dead. At least that's the firm belief of several major retailers in Australia. Apparently they're only stocking the console because of their relationship with Microsoft. Seems like the Land Down Under must be filled with PS3 and Wii lovers.

According to a recent survey of 10 video game retailers in Australia (which make up around 2,000 of the gaming stores) sales of Microsoft's current-gen gaming console are so poor that some places are considering dropping it from their shelves entirely. They cite RRoD issues as being one of the major causes for poor sales.

Something doesn't quite sit right with me on this one. I can't imagine that the 360 is actually doing so bad that retailers would consider pulling it from their shelves. Then again, I've never been to Australia, and I don't really know how great their selection of titles are for the 360. Either way, I sincerely hope that the 360 sticks around down there.
