Rumor : Virgin Mobile to absorb Helio into their brand name

There have been a few rumors pertaining to the future of Helio, one of which being that they will be shutting down some of their stores to cut down on costs. Another has been that Helio might be merging with Virgin Mobile.

Well Financial Times has just reported that they believe that Helio will be announcing the big news this week. There is also rumor that they won’t just be merging Helio with VM but that Helio will be completely absorbed into the Virgin Mobile brand name.

Which means that the pictures and video that were leaked out yesterday for the Ocean 2 might not end up being entirely how the phone will end up looking. If the Helio name is absorbed then likely instead of the Helio name on the phone it will end up being Virgin Mobile.
