Rumor - The Palm Gandolf to be released under Vodafone on September 12th

We’ve been hearing rumors about the upcoming Palm Gandolf for a little while now. I still stand by my argument that they spelled the name wrong, shouldn’t it be Gandalf? Anyway, the latest rumor pegs the Gandolf on the Vodafone network on September 12th.

Our two sources for the rumor are a blurry picture and a cryptic post on the Official Palm Blog. The picture clearly (well, maybe clearly is too strong of a word) has the Vodafone logo on it. While the entry on Palm’s blog tells us the following.

There’s been a lot of buzz about the new device our friends across the “pond” are planning to announce on September 12th…and it’s not the Palm Centro smartphone!

I think that if we put these clues together we can come to the only logical explanation. It was Colonel Mustard in the conservatory with the candlestick. It’s either that or the Gandolf will be on the Vodafone network next week. Either way, I’ve got my eye on you Colonel.
