With all of the issues had by the Xbox 360 (namely the dreaded RRoD) people are always looking forward to new iterations of the console which will be cooler, and thus have a lower failure rate. Well if rumors are true, we can look forward to new 360s in just a few months.

Noisy Xbox 360

The new versions of Microsoft’s console codenamed Jasper will be the first to utilize both a 65nm GPU and CPU. The 65nm chips should run cooler than the ones you’ll find in current 360s, and likely result in a quieter system that hopefully has a rather long lifespan.

The rumor goes on to say that we should see the first of these on the shelves by August of this year. Unfortunately we’ll just have to wait and see how this one pans out.
