Just the other day when reading about the rumored European price cut for the 360 I pondered whether or not this may in fact lead to a new 360 SKU with a larger hard drive. Apparently my thoughts were on the right track, as there is now rumor of just such a thing happening.

Xbox 360

According to an inside source Microsoft will be releasing a new SKU which will essentially replace the puny 20GB hard drive with a slightly less-puny 60GB. The rumor suggests that we would see these sometime before the end of Q2 this year.

If this turns out to be true, I will be sorely disappointed in Microsoft. They’re wanting to promote the 360 as a media device, yet I know people with iPods larger than 60GB.
