Have you ordered one of the new Dell Inspiron laptops lately? If you have, you might have noticed that you haven’t received it yet. Apparently Dell is having an issue fulfilling orders in a timely manner. Asfar as people can tell, a large part of the problem has to do with color.

The new Inspiron notebooks come in a variety of colors, some of which are easier to get than others. While no official word has been heard from Dell on the delays, customers have been compiling their own data which seems to show that colors such as black and white have little to no delays, while colors like red and pink can add an extra 11 days onto your wait. The whole breakdown is below.
I’m going to guess that colors like red, green and pink must be selling like hotcakes. That’s good for Dell, but bad for the consumer, especially with it being Back to School season. Hopefully Dell will get their stock issues sorted out before a majority of students head back to class.

Nope not a rumor, we are on a 2 – 3 week back log on Latitude series laptops here at work.

Yep, it’s true. There’s an entire FORUM at http://forum.notebookreview.co.....php?f=1040 dedicated to people that are STILL waiting for their laptops!!! Wait times are ridiculous. THere are people that have been waiting since teh end of June for their computers. Dell seems to have advertised their new laptops w/o even having the parts in stock to MAKE them.
