Would you rent a movie via iTunes if given the opportunity? You’ve got a little while to ponder that question, but if rumors are true, it may be a viable option in the future.

iTunes movie rental

According to a screenshot posted on Flickr recently, Apple may be working on a movie rental service. The screenshot was taken when the person was trying to report an issue in iTunes.

According to earlier rumors, Apple has been pondering releasing an online movie rental service. You’d pay $2.99 and get to watch the movie as much as you want for 30 days. Personally, I’d much rather do that than mess with driving to Blockbuster or waiting on Netflix movies to show up.

I personally think they should do something like Netflix where you pay a flat rate by iTunes card, or w/e. Then you can get soo many movies a month, that would be REALLY cool. But it is kind-of a cool deal. I’ll be curious how they handle the way movies go out and come back in.
