Any operating system that gets popular and has a web browser will generate even more ad revenue. Any operating system that has an app store and allows you to embed ads into apps to generate more income will naturally generate even more ad revenue. This isn’t a recent phenomenon. Google just happens to have created an operating system as well as owning a popular ad network.
