Roto retractable charger is sleek and extra long

Carrying around a charging cable generally means wrapping up an individual cord and toting it around with an outlet adapter, or carrying a retractable cord that is more compact but likely to get tangled easily or not be long enough for your needs. Roto is similar to the latter offering, but with tweaks that improve the least-liked parts of retractable chargers — in this case, the connectors lock down neatly into the square body, the cable is nearly 3 feet long, and the design is a mixture of sleek and functional. A built-in clip allows Roto to be attached to a bag or belt loop, or even a key ring if you're particularly absentminded.

Roto is a square-shaped retractable charger available for both Android devices (micro USB, that is), and iOS devices, depending on which is needed. The cable itself is flat, allowing it to lay flat and retract into the body without taking up too much space.

The connectors lock into the body using magnets, while the body itself measures in at less than half an inch thick. The cord, meanwhile, is 32-inches long, making it long enough to charge a device while still being usable.

Roto's maker is seeking funding for the charger on Indiegogo, where the goal sits at $25,000 USD; about $144 USD has been raised so far with 57 days remaining. Those interested can get the Early Bird unit for Android with a pledge of $15 USD, and can get the Early Bird Roto for iOS with a $20 pledge. Shipping to backers is estimated to start next month if all goes as planned.
