I live in Mexico and with TelMex I get a maximum download speed of 5mbs.

I LOVE MY ROKU!!!!!

I use it with GetUSAWebsites.TV (Access code 913) They’re different in that they only jump in when the geo check is done, but the rest of the time it’s a direct connection NOT going through a proxy. The result is that I ALWAYS get a HD signal awesome video on Netflix, and Hulu. I hate other services where too many users bog down the server, and the quality goes up and down. (Mostly down and skipping!) Grrrrr….

I think GetUSAWebsites approach is superior, and am VERY happy.

My local friend has only a 1.7mbs download speed, and they are using it with their Roku and they love it too.

GetUSAWebsites has 2 plans. Basic is $4.99 and Deluxe is $7.99 a month. I seriously couldn’t live without it!

Well actually… the Hulu+ channel is nigh unusable with this iPhone remote app! Keyboard does not work there and FF/Rew buttons “stick” and get carried away to the end of the video with no way to stop that, no matter what you press. The 4.2.1006 firmware for Roku2 partially fixes the forward/rewind issue – but on Roku1 it is still a catastrophe

In the meantime there are free 3rd party roku remote apps for Android. Also a tailor made iPad app would be nice instead of using a blown out version made for the iPhone.

Actually they need to remove cable companies from the equation and the new movies will roll in and people will be able to have apps like HBO GO with out a cable subscription.

I have Apple TV, Roku, an internet capable TV… I have to ask myself why I have wasted my money on these toys that bring me no pleasure. The quality of programming available is atrocious. New movies are a joke. Hollywood is a joke; network TV is a joke; its all a joke! If equipment manufacturers want to sell these object of my displeasure, then they must put pressure on film producers to start putting out programming that is enjoyable, family friendly and entertaining. I have bought my last toy.
