According to the ubiquitous Android App that tests to see if your phone has Carrier IQ's software running, my Rogers Samsung Infuse 4G is definitely running C.IQ's spyware software. That's all I can tell at this point though.

As I understand it, Carrier IQ (the company via their software) collects data from the phones (including messaging keystrokes) and sells aggregated data back to Rogers.

How keystrokes (private personal data) can be collected legally, is beyond me, and infuriating. Rogers needs to be held accountable for this. And remove this software immediately.

Contact your MP folks. Our American friends did this and the carriers are all squirming, removing and in some cases even denying knowledge of it (like Rogers is apparently doing currently.)

Isn't it a bit disingenuous to mention apple here? Does the iphone have carrier iq software on it? Is it keylogging everything you type? No...

Derp. You write an article about carrier IQ, mention carriers that do not use it, then tack on FUD about iphones as some sort of weak deflection.

I know you guys run an android site too, but have some respect for yourselves.

On an actually RELEVANT note, my HTC EVO 3d shows no signs of carrier IQ being present.
