Apple has always kindled Love for their product (and company) – so when the antenna gate happened, their consumers were defending them in spite of their pathetic attempt to drag other companies into their blunder.

Android - as a mobile product has never created love from their users, but its a Google Product hence its loved (as everyone loves Google, me included), in the Samsung – Google announcement they talked about creating the love.
Now RIM, who network till recent outage has been very reliable, but gets beaten up for every single mistake – now to be fair some of their mistakes are really stupid [OSX - trademark]. As a blackberry user, to me $100 in apps is far better than a case Apple provided for their antenna gate issue, but still people will hate on them – why the double standard.

Resting on your laurels is a great way to get passed in the race for customers. Crackberry will have its addicts no matter what but new customers are the lifeblood of any business and most smartphone customers, particularly consumers as opposed to businesses, will avoid this failed platform like the plague, eh?

The survey was conducted before the outage occured. It is a real trend and will likely accelerate because of the outage.
