Clearly you've never used the BOLD 9900 phone. Its interesting how people use old products to knock down BB. Pick up their newest phone and you'll never want to type on any other phone. I own the Torch, which has smaller keys, however I quickly got use to it and can type fast and accurately. My girlfriend owns the 9900, and when I type on that keyboard, the keys are signficantly bigger where even a 9 year old could type without a problem. No other phone on the market can compare to the qwerty keyboard offered by the Bold. Since BB owns that market (and the comment about comparing RIM owning the qwerty keyboard market to the automotive manufacturer owning the coal burning steam engine market is just laughable), they are now focused on trying to take a piece of the full touch market. Clearly a smart business decision since their past business decisions have not been the greatest. RIM is focused on re-inventing their product, and I believe they will do a good job with the BB10. Not only a new platform, which with the very limited information we have, looks VERY nice, but they also have all new hardware that will compliment the OS. And as for the other posters comment about how RIM is putting their existing customers on the back burner while they open a new market....RIM is a company is only has about 6% of the smartphone market, when years ago, they owned the market. The only smart thing RIM can do is to go after the people who have dropped BB to go to iOS or android, and to get new customers who have never owned a BB. This is what they are doing with BB10. PLUS, they will be giving their exising customers something they've never had before, while still giving them everything they expect from a blackberry. With all that said, they are still releasing BB10 with a QWERTY keyboard, because they know allot of their existing customers and business customers love and want that from their BB, so they are definitely not alienating their existing client base. Yes it sucks that we have to wait until Q12013, but great things come to the ones who have the patience to wait. For me, I am happy with my Torch and will be first in line to get a new BB10. I'd rather wait an extra 5 months to make sure I get the best possible BB, rather then receive something that is not finished and complete (i.e. playbook fiasco). Best decision the CEO could do was delay BB10.

I would sooner go back to my 3 year old OG Droid than to use a crackberry. The "QWERTY" keyboard on BB's were so small I doubt my 9 year old could use it effectively. I can only hope that their recent failures finally opened the eyes of the CEO's still stuck in the late 90's early 2000's.

That sounds all wrong; existing customers have waited for ages - now RIM are putting them on the back burner while they open up a new market. If I had a Bold right now I would be looking to dump RIM next time.
