ReWalk uses robotics to help paraplegics walk again

Sometimes I'm just amazed by technology and this is one of those moments. ReWalk uses motorized leg supports to help people that do not have the use of their legs to walk again. Now that's tech done right!

After being paralyzed in an accident in 1997, Amit Goffer invented ReWalk to help others like him get back on their feet. The system uses crutches as well in order for the wearer to keep their balance. However, the heart of the device is in the motorized leg supports that activate when body sensors are triggered.

After selecting a function on a remote control wrist band, such as walk, stand, sit, climb, etc, all you must do is lean forward and it will move into action. The system also includes a back pack containing a computerized control box and rechargeable batteries.
