Revolv joins IFTTT to digitally tweak your home

The team at Revolv have made it their mission to make certain everything in your home with electricity in it also has the ability to be connected – a real smart home. They've got a couple of really neat products on the market right now, including the Revolv Hub we reviewed late last year. Now they've begun integration with IFTTT.

It seems everyone and their mother are joining up with IFTTT these days. IFTTT stands for If This Then That, the most basic of developer language prompts. If I click this button, then that light turns on, for example.

With Revolv and IFTTT, you can bet you'll be seeing some extremely odd combinations. Revolv hardware already works with systems like WeMo switches and Philips' hue lighting systems – IFTTT does too. Connecting the two makes both all the more versatile.

The first recipes will be appearing near the end of this month, and will center on "external web services that trigger Revolv Actions."

IF THIS: your iOS or Android phone receives a callTHEN THAT: your SONOS music will pause and your Hue lights will "turn to a relaxing orange color."

Above you'll see the first recipe that'll be amongst the handful delivered later this month. We look forward to the full collection that'll be up on IFTTT soon!
