re: how you get to the plug for your telly if it is behind, simple we have solved this issue too, basically the plug is equipped with a meter long extension lead so you can place the button somewhere you can reach it.

this one just switches off when it reaches standby mode, low price is the aim with this product, higher priced remote ones will follow

Karl going on from above i saw drgons den last week and i ask you the same question what happens if the TV is plugged in behind and is difficult to get to how do you reset the power to turn on the TV?

Chris, problem is, that it’s not only tellys that use standby power.. dishwashers video’s stereo’s ect . Ok some you might have to reset, but why would you need a clock on everything. My stereo, video all retain their settings even when turned off. 740million a year wasted because of it, that’s alot of money, and if the Gov ban the use of the standby mode where would we be then..

Thanks for the link, Karl. I’ve had a look at your site, but I can’t see how your plug prevents the settings-loss problem I talk about in the post. Am I missing something?
