Agree that social networking still has long way to go. But to give every SG reader fair chance of winning you should give option to use either facebook , twitter or name. But here facebook is mandatory.

Social media just happens to be an important part of how the publishing industry is changing. We for our long term survival have to embrace and use it. This is part of a larger longer term strategy. We are sorry you could not participate due to not having a FB page.

Requiring a FB account to participate is retarded. Like Sam said, why not just make it a requirement to read this site as well. I’m not coming back to this site anymore.

Yes lot of SG reader who doesn’t have FB account can’t participate. Remember those days when we didn’t need to have FB account to take participate on giveaway.
You should also make it mandatory that you should have FB account in order to read SG.
