Refreshed 2016 Hyundai Elantra gets new tech

Hyundai has rolled out a refreshed version of the Elantra GT for the 2016 model year at the Chicago Auto Show. The revised Elantra GT is a hatchback car and it gets updated styling and new technology and features inside the car. Under the hood, the car now uses a standard 2.0L direct injection gasoline engine.

Pricing for the 2016 Elantra GT starts at $18,800 plus an $825 freight charge. The new Elantra GT will be in dealer showrooms this March. On the outside, the car gets a new grille with horizontal chrome and argent slats. The 17-inch wheels are restyled and drivers can now opt for ventilated driver's and passenger's seats.

The car is also available with a next-gen navigation and HD radio system that is integrated with Apple Siri. Buyers can also get Blue Link inside the car with remote start and climate control along with destination search powered by Google. That 2.0L engine I mentioned before has 173hp and 154 lb-ft of torque.

The 2016 Elantra GT is rated for 24mpg in the city and 33mpg on the highway. Transmission options include a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic. The car is covered with a 5-year/60,000 mile transferable warranty and a 10-year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty.
